Dr. Ranjan Patnaik

Technology Director, South Asia & ASEAN, DuPont

He also serves as the Technology Director for South Asia and ASEAN. Additionally, Ranjan also oversees the Science & Technology initiatives of South Asia and ASEAN.

Prior to this appointment, Ranjan was head of the biotechnology division of Central Research & Development at the DuPont Knowledge Center with global responsibilities to deliver products & processes across multiple growth platforms.

Dr. Patnaik has 20 years of experience in the field of industrial biotechnology. Prior to joining DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware, USA, in 2003, he had a variety of industrial leadership experience in both small and mid-sized start-up biotechnology ventures. His areas of expertise include establishing and implementing novel bioprocesses for production of biochemical & biofuels, nutraceutical, fermentation technology transfer, metabolic engineering, and technology due diligence, intellectual property generation, and managing interdisciplinary global R&D teams.

Ranjan holds a bachelors and a doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, India, and Texas A&M University (TAMU), College Station, USA, respectively.
